Suminagashi – Paper Marbled Journal Making

This follow-up workshop with Guest Facilitator Jade Ruscio builds on the marbling process and guides participants in turning their papers into a hand-bound journal. Using prints from the first session (or creating new ones), we’ll learn simple bookbinding techniques and assemble a finished, functional piece.

The pace is relaxed and intentional, with space to enjoy the process of arranging, folding, and binding. Like the first workshop, the environment supports a meditative flow, with optional sound elements like singing bowls.

Each workshop can stand alone, but they’re designed to complement each other. Taken together, participants will leave with a fully handmade, hand-marbled journal – an intimate space for writing, drawing, or reflection.
