Join Brittany Carr, Certified Forest Therapy Guide, of Rooting in Nature for this special offering!
Awaken your senses in this celebration of Spring’s new growth by reconnecting with yourself and nature with a guided, easy paced, mindful forest experience. As we transition from a season of darkness into a season of light, we are invited to shed winter’s layers and bloom into new beginnings. By slowing down and being fully present in nature, we are encouraged to apply the rhythm and flow of nature to our own lives to restore a sense of renewal, balance, and harmony.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is the simple practice of taking in the forest atmosphere through the senses for health benefits.
Our time together includes gentle movement, meditation, opportunities to stop and connect with the natural world along the way, and concludes with herbal tea where we can reflect and share our experiences.
The length of this Forest Bathing Experience will be ~2 miles and is suitable for adults 18+. We love animals, but please leave your furry friends at home for this walk!
What to bring: a stool, chair, blanket, or pad to sit on (something you’re comfortable carrying for the duration of the walk), weather appropriate clothing such as long pants, jacket, hat & gloves (should it be chilly in the morning), boots suitable for terrain, microspikes (in the event of ice) water, snacks – Optional: Backpack, a journal and pen

Meet your guide:
Brittany Carr is a certified Forest Therapy Guide with a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for sharing the healing power of nature and mindfulness.
Whether she’s hiking NH’s challenging mountains, exploring new places, camping, paddleboarding on a quiet lake or river, or simply sitting in stillness among the trees, Brittany believes that nature has the ability to heal and transform us—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Brittany’s journey into forest therapy was inspired by her own personal experiences in nature. For years, she turned to the outdoors to find peace, strength, and clarity. Immersing herself in the natural world, she discovered how deeply transformative it can be. Driven by these beautiful experiences, Brittany pursued her certification as a Forest Therapy Guide through The Forest Therapy School to help others heal and connect deeper with themselves and nature.
In addition to guiding, Brittany is an artist creating nature-inspired wood pieces and photography. A Montserrat College of Art graduate, she blends her creative talents with her love for the outdoors.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys yoga, cooking, writing, singing, dancing, and spending time with her two cats, Loki and Mia. Her mission is to help, inspire, and foster personal growth and community connection through outdoor experiences, creativity, and mindfulness.
