Somatic Psychotherapy & EMDR: Rediscover the Wisdom Within

Healing is not about fixing what’s broken — it’s about reconnecting with the wisdom and wholeness already within you.

Therapy with me is a collaborative space to slow down, become curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself.

My work draws from somatic psychotherapy, EMDR, IFS-informed approaches, mindfulness, and other body-based practices. We may work with thoughts and stories, but we also pay attention to what your body is communicating. Depending on what you’re working through, sessions may include conversation, body awareness, mindfulness, breath, gentle movement, or other experiential practices.

I also incorporate EMDR when it feels appropriate, supporting the processing and integration of experiences that continue to affect you in the present. We may integrate inner child work, gentle movement, breath, and mindfulness practices, offering steady support as you rediscover your essence and your natural capacity for healing.

Who I Work With

My work may be a good fit for adults who feel stuck in familiar patterns, disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by their emotions or nervous system, or ready to explore experiences that haven’t shifted through insight alone.

Yoga Facilitator

Jenni Stevens is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and experienced yoga teacher whose work bridges psychotherapy and somatic practice. Her journey with yoga began in 2010 as a way to cultivate balance, and has since evolved into a deeply rooted passion for embodiment and healing. She completed her 200-hour yoga certification through Happy Love Yoga School in 2017, a 300-hour certification in Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) in 2020, and has continued advanced studies since.

With a trauma-informed lens, Jenni creates compassionate, predictable spaces that support participants in reconnecting with their bodies and inner resources. Her approach is rooted in offering choice, agency, and presence through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Jenni holds space for possibility and empowerment, inviting each person to meet themselves just as they are, in their own time and way.

Reiki Practitioner

Reiki is a gentle, restorative practice that I often weave into yoga and therapeutic work as an added layer of support. I’m trained in the Usui Reiki tradition through Level III, and I’m drawn to Reiki for the way it can invite the body to soften, settle, and make a little more space for whatever is already unfolding.

I offer Reiki as a complement rather than a stand-alone solution, sometimes as part of a yoga practice, therapeutic session, or simply as an opportunity to slow down and receive. For me, it’s less about fixing or forcing change and more about creating the conditions for rest, connection, and whatever your system may need in the moment.
